Join us 24 July at 6:00 pm at Light Bulb for our first Moving the Image screening event. We will screen two documentary works examining the impact of extractive development on indigenous communities in Northern Thailand: By the River (2013) directed by Nontawat Numbenchapol and Nurturing Lives in the Forest (2024) produced by Nontawat Numbenchapol in collaboration with Dr. Marco Haenssgen. Nontawat Numbenchapol will give a brief introduction before the screening.

Moving the Image is a curated program, initiated and organized by in-tangible institute, in partnership with Light Bulb, examining the role of the moving image in contemporary art and culture in Thailand via moderated conversations, public screening events, and critical texts that focus on the need to discuss what we watch.
