This year marks exactly 20 years of me making documentaries. I’ve always loved watching TRUE CRIME and wanted to make one myself. Finally, on August 20th,Chompoo: Lost& Forgotten is dropping! The case is incredibly fascinating because of how it overlaps with Thai culture, politics, religion, and deep-rooted superstitions. It really makes you ask: “How does a suspect become a celebrity?” Huge thanks to NETFLIX, Abishek Bajaj, and the team for the opportunity. Shoutout to Beachhouse producers Rob and Jenni for teaching me a solid, systematic workflow. Thanks to the production team Puean Production, Nijsa, Jamu, Patrawut, and Pakkard. I would’ve been completely lost without you guys. Thanks to Rimvydas Leipus for spending months in Thailand shooting such gorgeous footage.
